Former Zimbabwe national cricket team pace bowler Henry Olonga gave a terrific performance in his ‘second career’ as a singer when he performed in The Voice Australia Blind Audition.
Olonga, 42, sang the iconic song ‘Our Zimbabwe’ went into exile in 2003 after he wore a black armband alongside Andy Flower to ‘mourn the death of democracy’ in Zimbabwe during the 2003 World Cup. Said Olonga,
‘I’ve been singing a lot of music since I retired from my previous career,’ he said. ‘I just wanna sing now. Just sing.’
