The bromance between contemporary musician Baba Harare and Goodness and Mercy Ministries (GMM) founder and leader Prophet Tapiwa Freddy has yieled a product finally.
The duo has released the video for the song “Chikuru Kudzoka”. The song features Baba Harare while popular comedian Gonyeti stars in the video.
Baba Harare also featured in the prophet’s other video, “Tinopembera” alongside Bethany Pasinawako Ngolomi.
Freddy — who is well known for his spiritual spectacles — is not new in the music industry as he has previous projects Mesiya (2002), Serevende (2006) over and above 100 Percent Prophetic (2016).
This is the second video the man of cloth has released, having done another one Vana, off the same album, recently.
He says of this latest video and future projects: “We are encouraging people to wed, because marriage is a gift from God. The Bible even says ‘He Who finds a wife finds a good thing’.
“Art is in my blood, if time permits definitely I will be doing other projects in the near future.”
The GMM founder was the guest of honour at the launch of Baba Harare’s latest album Ramba Wakadzvanya in Harare back in January, where he emerged the highest bidder, buying the former Third Generation Band member’s album for $5 000 after having given him another $2 000 congratulatory gift.
In his remarks at the launch, the Glen View-based man of cloth said Baba Harare was destined for the top.
“Your work is proving that you are your own man and you are destined for greater things. However, the authorities must tighten screws in order to curb piracy.
“There is need for authorities to work on strategies that deal with piracy to help artistes realise their dreams,” he said.
