THE MDC elected its Youth Assembly executive, with Obey Sithole becoming the party chairman.
The party says the future of MDC is looking bright with the coming in of young and fresh minds in the important youth wing.
The party also says it is happy that the Youth Assembly elected an unprecedented 50-50 female-male representation in keeping with the party’s drive for equal representation at all levels.
Meanwhile, results of the Women’s Assembly are set to be announced after midnight. The vote for the women’s executive took place over the weekend at the Congress venue, Ascot Stadium, in Gweru.
Also awaited are the election results for the Standing Committee, with much focus being on the vice presidency were Tendai Biti, Welshman Ncube and Lynette Karenyi as well as Morgen Komichi are battling for the positions.
Nelson Chamisa is already confirmed party president after he faced no challenger in the nomination process leading to the Congress.
