Warriors winger Khama Billiat said that he never contemplated leaving Kaizer Chiefs for one of his former clubs, Mamelodi Sundowns, in the last transfer window.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Billiat spoke of his “happiness” at Amakhosi and hopes it will stay like that for time indefinite. He said:
I was just reading up on social media. And wow! I just thought it was just rumours – to hear people say I wanted to go back.
I am happy at Chiefs and it is my home and I have to make my environment as best as I want it to be and it’s exactly what I had hoped for. I hope it will be like this forever.
Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly tried to re-sign Billiat prior to the start of the current campaign after letting him leave on a Bosman in 2017. However, Chiefs clung to their prized asset.
