American Ambassador Brian A. Nichols says the government of President Emmerson Mnangagwa is prioritising payments to Sakunda Holdings instead of paying salaries to civil servants.
Sakunda is owned by embattled oil guru Kudakwashe Tagwirei.
“Government has a choice to pay the doctors & all the other civil servants but they chose to pay Sakunda a preferential rate that spiked the exchange rate, froze their accounts ,unfroze them & gave them more money” US Ambassador Brian Nichols pic.twitter.com/ts2DWyH07r
