The ruling Zanu-PF seems to be on a roll when it comes to finding new ways of empowering its supporters across the country.
A few months after launching “bush bakeries” equipped with the most rudimentary equipment across the country, the party has now launched a fish farming project at the Zanu-PF Headquarters, in Harare’s central business district.
Perhaps, unsurprisingly, most people have not been enamoured to the party’s projects with some arguing that the party was taking people back to the stone age. Ironically, in a sad, although not entirely unforeseen development, a bush bakery which was officially commissioned by two full cabinet ministers was closed down barely 24 hours after becoming operational due to shortage of row materials.
Zimbabweans have taken to social media platforms to show their feelings about the new project.
Meanwhile, in the name of fish farming @Zanupfparty have dug a huge hole at ZANU PF headquarters in the CBD put water & tilapia fish in it, in violation of by laws, announced it as a fish farming project for its members. You just can’t make stuff like this up pic.twitter.com/uVVveXZ7kq

So one day they’re baking open-air bread,
Another day they’re digging a malaria trench.
ZANU-PF HQ is literally a health hazard. https://t.co/wOMe4Dnbi4
