Biti Projects a Bleak 2020 while Mangwana Paints a Brighter One.

The vice president of the Movement for Democratic Change, Tendai Biti believes the country will face a further decline in economic perfomance.

He projects Zimbabwe’s economy will contract by 13% and attributes all this to a number of factors,

“This is not a mere decline in GDP . Unmitigated incompetence , illegitimacy, zero confidence , corruption &mis governance are at the epicenter of this dramatic collapse .Worst gvt in the world”. Biti wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the government’s secretary for Information and Publicity, Nick Mangwana has been painting a postive picture of governments’ achievements when he posted on the same platform.

“ED’S DISTINGUISHED PERFORMANCE 1. Budget deficit down 90% 2. Trade deficit down 70% 3. De-dollarisation completed, new currency introduced & stabilized. 4. Ease of doing business – Zim is up 15 positions 5. Mass Public Transport System (More will be shared)”

Many however, see a bleak 2020.
