Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe villagers up in arms with Chinese mining company for destroying their crops {Watch}

A dispute has arisen between Nyagade villagers in Uzumba Marambapfungwe and a gold mining company after the company reportedly destroyed the villagers’ crops.

Villagers say that the company that started operating in the area this year destroyed their crops and fence for their irrigation.

The villagers say that they are not against investors but there should clear communication and consideration of their welfare.

The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs in Mashonaland East Apollonia Munzverengi and legislator for Marambapfungwe, Tichaona Karumazondo said that there is need to find amicable ways to solve the dispute.
