No it is not the same genre but like her father, Stacey Macheso delivers socially conscious music in this new single.
It is a soft and easy listen and speaks to struggles around life and all. We like that about it because it settles gently on the ear. The song does feel a lot longer than the three minutes and 53 seconds, possibly because of the instrumental breaks. They work for stage and other genres but in this instance we are not sure what they serve. In effect, at some point you feel as if the song has ended and then it comes back.
The song has a lot of potential and she does well enough to show she can step out of the daunting shadow of her father.
The song was recorded at Illicit Records and co-produced by DJ Marcos and Leekay.
