Business tycoon and President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s advisor Kuda Tagwirei is critically ill from covid-19 after organising a controversial superspreader party which saw many people getting sick and some dying, Harare Live has gathered.
The party, which was held on New Year’s eve, ignored the ire of Zimbabweans demanding his arrest as it violated covid-19 regulations at a time Levels and Fantan were arrested on similar lockdown flouting activities.
His condition according to ZANU PF’s Gokwe Nembudziya Member of parliament Justice Mayor Wadyajena has deteriorated and he is being placed on oxygen while battling the deadly virus.
Honourable Wadyajena concedes that Tagwirei’s party was a superspreader event and its impact has been understated in the media. Worse off, there are no contact tracing mechanisms in place to gauge the extent of its impact.
“Make no mistake about it, his was a superspreader event where many got infected and tragically some died. MTSRIP Now dude fighting for his life and on oxygen. We have to be more responsible with our lives and the lives of those around us. Wish all a speedy recovery.
“Not reported in mainstream media but the extent of carnage from Mr Superspreader’s flouting Covid rules will blow your mind. We’ve no tracing framework but those who attended that event know themselves. They ought to have been honest & minimized contact with other innocent souls!”
MP Wadyajena is renowned for speaking his mind, despite his heavy links to the ruling party, has always exposed delinquency.
Video of Kuda Tagwirei’s party has been making rounds since the arrest of DJ Fantan and Levels.
Professor Jonathan Moyo has also called for the organisers to be held to account.
In light of what has happened & given the #covid19 news about Tagwirei, are you now probing this illegal new year's eve party which was a #coronavirus superspreader? To hold those who organized it to account as you held DJ Fantan for the illegal Mbare party! pic.twitter.com/EIK3C0YJxF
