A Zvimba man has appeared in court for assaulting a woman over loud radio volume.
Prince Garande appeared before Chinhoyi provincial magistrate Lisa Mutendereki charged with assault.
He was sentenced to a fine of $9 000 or 90 days in prison.
The court heard that on January 17, at around 1am, Garande passed through the complainant, Eritina Arimoni’s house.

However, the high volume did not go down well with Arimoni, who humbly asked Garande to lower it since it was late at night.
A misunderstanding arose between the two resulting in Garande assaulting the complainant with a log all over her body several times.
