Ghanaian dancehall star, Stonebwoy, has praised Nutty O describing the “Vroom” singer as a good friend.
The two are believed to have worked together on two songs that are yet to be released.
Stone Bwoy also revealed that he will work with more local artistes in the future.
“Nutty O is a very good friend and guy of mine.
” I will work with more Zimbabwean artistes when it fits and the time is right, ” said Stonebwoy.
He went on to urge Zimbabwean artistes to be tactful and build a strong home base if they want to make a global impact with their music.
” More work, more dedication to the craft and being very tactful but not forgetting to build a strong home base.
“I have made music with global audience in mind ever since and the truth is my music has since gained massive support from Ghana and the world.
“I believe my reach is not only for my people I have always widened my tentacles to appeal globally to the specific people who can relate to each song that I release,” he said.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has released a new single with US rapper Vic Mensa.
“This new single “Blessings” is a song that speaks positiveness into one’s life.
“The visions must become visuals as we work hard towards our goals in all aspects of life.
“This year will be packed with projects not only the time release of new material but a lot of groundworks,” he added.
Stonebwoy who is popular for songs like Activate, Everlasting and Nominate bemoaned the ways Africans tend to support foreign music than theirs.
” Africans face discrimination from ages ago and that grows through the entertainment sector as well.
” We consume and easily accept foreign matter, promote and support more than ours, because surely the big arms of the media are owned and tuned to suit the western narrative.
This is making it twice difficult for creatives to push through with a little bit of ease, but it’s always worth it once you breakthrough.
“We face investment difficulty as well and most importantly there is a lack of the Showbiz education and information, “said Stonebwoy.-H Metro
