MOTHER to Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement Deputy Minister, Vangelis Haritatos, Angela Haritatos, has died.
Mrs Haritatos succumbed to Covid-19-related complications at a local hospital in Harare on this Wednesday, just over two weeks after her husband, Peter, died of Covid-19 complications as well.
The deputy Minister, who is Zanu-PF MP for Muzvezve in Kadoma, confirmed the developments.
“Mom you have gone to join your soul mate, the love of your life,” Vangelis mourned.
“Father Apostolos just told me it is because of the love that you and dad had for each other, that you have decided to leave us. Dad went first to prepare for you both to rest together in Heaven.
“I always knew that life comes to an end, but for me to lose you both in just 18 days is something I never once thought would ever happen.
“You were the most amazing mother a son could have ever asked for. You were so kind, caring, and so loving to everyone who came in contact with you. You looked after dad so well on Earth. Thank you so much Mama.
“I love you and will always love you forever. Fly high with the angels mom, just like your name suggests. May your Soul Rest in Eternal Peace right next to dad,” Vangelis mourned.
Peter Haritatos ran Central Bakery and Confectionery, continuing the family tradition. In April 2018, Haritatos said he would not contest for the parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections after having been MP for long, paving way for his son to take over.
He died aged 77 and was a Zanu-PF Central Committee at the time of his death.
