Grade 3 Pupil From Queensdale School Commits Suicide

A Grade 3 pupil from Queensdale Primary School committed suicide in a shocking incident. Farai Munemo from Glenwood Park, Epworth is said to have resorted to taking the drastic action of hanging himself following a disagreement with his mother.

According to sources who spoke to iHarare, on the fateful day, the minor had an altercation with his younger sibling. Their mother is reported to have told Farai off for hitting his sibling. Seemingly stung by his mother’s words, Farai is reported to have gone to his room showing contrition.

Once in his room, it is suspected that he took a rope and hanged himself. The room does not have a ceiling and the young child tied a rope to the roof trusses after climbing on some furniture.

His mother, only discovered what he had done when she came into the room, to call him to come for a meal.

The distraught mother then sent voice note messages to her family informing them of Farai’s death. Some of the voice notes have since found their way onto the internet. In one of the audios, the heartbroken mother can be heard saying,

Zvakawoma mhamha. Handina kana kutombomurova, kana nekumurova. Ndashaya mweya wupi wamupinda Farai. Ndangomurambidza Farai usarova mwana.

Bvandamutuka ndakati “hona zvarinoita, ibva apa.” Ndobva ayenda ku spare. Kuyenda kue spare ndikokubva ayenderatu mhai, bvaatoyenderatu. Farai abva atozviuraya shuwa. Mhai zvakawoma zvandaitirwa na Farai. Zvakawoma.

Handina kana kutombomunzwa ku screamer kana kuchema, handina kumbomunzwa.
