A SOLDIER based in Bulawayo did not let the presence of police stop him from slapping and kicking his girlfriend for not telling him where she had been the whole day.
A source, who witnessed the whole dramatic incident unfold, said Frank Chakaoma (34), who is stationed at ZNA 1 Brigade in Bulawayo, accused his lover Michelle Ndebele (21) of playing dirty games behind his back.
This came after Frank called her the whole day but without success and that incensed him.
Her phone finally went through at around 9pm on the same day and they met in the city centre. It is said the woman tried to explain and justify where she was but her lover could not believe it.
The source said: “He grabbed her by the neck before he slapped her and kicked her all over the body while warning her to respect him and refrain from cheating on him.”
Somehow Michelle managed to free herself from his tight grip and sprinted to Southampton building and sought refuge at the police building.
Frank was not deterred by cops’ presence as he went ballistic and slapped his lover several times. Police officers handcuffed him and took him to Bulawayo Central Police Station.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident but referred this publication to Army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Elphios Makotore, who was not reachable, for official comment.
