Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba is having the time of his life in his Zimbabwean hometown

They say home is where the heart is!

Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has just proven that as he is currently living his best at his home village in Zimbabwe.

Marvelous Nakamba who is currently in the country for his philanthropic work and the launch of his Under-17 annual youth soccer tournament decided to pay a visit to his home village in Hwange.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a couple of pictures of himself at his home village. Captioning the pictures, he wrote;

Whilst there, he also got to visit Dinde, Sir Humphrey primary school and Hwange secondary school where he met up with some students.


Captioning pictures of himself with students from the above-mentioned schools, Nakamba wrote;

It was refreshing to go back to my home town 2 days after hosting a successful #MNF22 tournament. I was over joyed by the Passion and determination i saw from the students at Dinde and Sir Humphrey Primary schools as well as Hwange secondary school. Together with. @Nakamba_MNF,we will continue with our #educational assistance program as a tool of social development.


He vowed to continue offering educational assistance to students through his foundation.

The soccer star through his foundation recently launched the national Under-17 annual youth soccer tournament at a function held in Harare.

The two-day tournament, which brought together the best local junior football talent in the country, was staged at White City Stadium in Bulawayo on June 25-26.

Highlanders, Dynamos, Njube Spurs, Hwange Dynamo, Albun Academy, Bulawayo City, Ajax Hot Spurs and Chicken Inn took part in the historic tournament.

Manicaland juniors of Excellence Soccer Academy (Majesa) were crowned the champions of the Marvelous Nakamba Foundation Under-17 invitational tournament after beating Highlanders 2-1 in the final.

On the other hand, Harare-based giants, Dynamos FC were disqualified over age cheating.
