Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Secretary General, Charlton Hwende had called for his party to seek either a political or mass action for the the release of Job Sikhala and his co-accused.
This follows recent comments by Professor Lovemore Madhuku who suggested that political negotiations were now the only realistic route for securing the release of Job Sikhala from prison.
“The situation of our MPs Hon Job Sikhala and Godfrey Sithole plus the Nyatsime Cdes is very depressing.
“If we don’t act these Cdes will not be released soon and some might even die in detention.
“Political Prisoners require either Mass Action or Political Engagement to be released,”Hwende said.
Sikhala and colleague Godfrey Stole have now spent 86 days in remand prison awaiting trial on charges of inciting violence.
