SOUTH AFRICAN musician Kelly Khumalo had Zimbabwean Twitter on fire after a video circulated while she was singing the late Oliver Mutukudzi’s song in perfect shona.
Kelly Khumalo who is currently in the news headlines regarding the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is in high spirits.
Having ended “From A God To A King” tour on Saturday at Carnival City, the vibrant star decided to give fans good old Tuku’s song.

In a previous interview on SABC 2’s Afro Cafe, Kelly Khumalo declared that she had fallen in love with the country’s music, particularly that of Oliver Mtukudzi.
The “From A God To A King” concert on Saturday was a blend of Afropop, gospel and soul featuring performances from Kelly Khumalo, her live band and a host of guests including Sjava, Mondlo Ngcobo, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Zakwe and Mthunzi.
Tickets to the concert started from R350 to R750. Media personality and Kelly Khumalo’s longtime friend Somizi Mhlongo hosted the show.
The concert also saw Kelly Khumalo debuting songs from her upcoming album From A God To A King. More concert dates for the “From A God To A King” tour are expected to be announced soon as this will be a multi-city tour.
