Netflix’s Kings of Joburg has cast Connie Ferguson in the starring role.

Connie Ferguson just made the announcement that she will be playing a lead role in the upcoming second season of the original Netflix series Kings of Joburg.

Following the unexpected death of her husband, Shona Ferguson, this has now come to light.

Shona, who played a leading role in the series and was also one of its producers, passed away in July 2021 due to difficulties caused by Covid-19. She was 47 years old.

Although Connie appeared in a few episodes of the show during its pilot season in the role of a mermaid, it is anticipated that she will have a more prominent role in the series going forward.

Using her Instagram account, the celebrity provided an exclusive sneak peek for her followers of the upcoming series.

She released a clip with cast members from some of the most popular episodes now streaming on Netflix, such as Blood and Water and How to Ruin Christmas: The Baby Shower.
