The national police spokesman, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, stated that the robbers had at least two weapons, including an AK 47 rifle and a pistol.
“They tied the hands and legs of two security guards who were on duty with shoelaces before stealing a Dewalt drilling machine, US$582,540 and R58,430 cash which was in a table drawer and Chubb safe,” Nyathi said.
Police have appealed for the public’s help to identify the robbers.
