Horror as 4-month-old Baby Dies After Its Mother Was Pushed To The Wall

On Friday of the previous week in Shamva, a quarrel over an alleged adulterous relationship between the baby’s mother and another woman resulted in the death of the baby, who was only four months old.

According to a police record that was obtained by Pindula News, the infant was secured to the back of its mother. Another woman, who was accusing the mother of kidnapping her husband, physically assaulted her and slammed her against the wall while making the accusation. The following is a report that was prepared by the Zimbabwe Republic Police:

Prisca Dhirau (23) was assaulted and pushed to the wall of a shop by the suspect only identified as Mai Shumai Kanyoka, on December 9 at Logan Shopping Centre in Shamva. At the time of the attack, the victim’s four-month-old infant was strapped to the back of his mother. The infant’s mother was identified as Prisca Dhirau. The suspect was only identified as Mai Shumai Kanyoka.

Prisca Dhirau was accused of having an extramarital affair by the suspect, who also named her spouse in the accusation. Investigations are currently in way.

In a separate incident, the ZRP is looking into a homicide that took place on Friday of last week at Kadoma-Blue Ranges Road. This incident also involved a murder.

It is believed that the suspect, Hussen Nenji, caused the death of the victim, Elisha Gundu, who was 27 years old, by stabbing him multiple times in the head and throat with a double-bladed flick knife (38).

Gundu had accused Nenji of engaging in extramarital activity with his wife, and Nenji had denied the allegations. Since then, Nenji has been taken into custody.
