Ntsiki Mazwai Blasts BMW Over Insensitive, Racist Advert
Ntsiki Mazwai, a controversial poet and anti-GBV advocate, has slammed BMW for a recent advertisement in which the phrase “ancestors” was crossed out, leaving the message “we are our wildest dreams.”
Ntsiki Mazwai, who is notoriously known for not remaining silent on issues that pique her interest, had shared a slide on her Instagram page. The first showed her reaction to the advertisement, while the second showed the advertisement itself.

In the caption, she expressed her disgust with the advertisement while also accusing the brand of racism. She condemned the advertisement for disrespecting Africa’s spiritual beliefs for financial gain. In the post, she tagged BMW South Africa, which you can see below.
Ntsiki Mazwai is (in)famous for always speaking her mind. And in her outspokenness, she had clashed with several notable figures in South Africa. So her latest outburst wouldn’t surprise anyone who has been paying attention.
