Benni McCarthy Earns More Than These Five Players At Man U

Man United have become a more cohesive attacking unit with Benni McCarthy as a first-team coach alongside head coach Erik Ten Hag.
Benni (in the 18 area) McCarthy is reportedly earning €40,500 a week at United, which equates to around R820,000, or R3.28 million monthly. Not shabby.

According to aggregated reports on Man United’s approximate salaries, he’s not doing too badly considering that five first-team stars are earning less than Benni. In Pounds Sterling, this is how McCarthy figures at Old Trafford:
MAN UNITED COMPARATIVE WEEKLY WAGES
- David De Gea – £375,000
- Jadon Sancho – £350,000
- Casemiro – £300,000
- Marcus Rashford – £200,000
- Harry Maguire – £190,000
- Phil Jones – £ 75,000
- Benni McCarthy – £40,500
- Martin Dubravka – £40,000
- Diogo Dalot – £25,000
- Facundo Pellistri – £5,000
- Anthony Elanga – £5,000
- Alejandro Garnacho – £5,000
Dalot was at the World Cup with Portugal, the same can be said for Pellistri with Uruguay, and young Argentine Alejandro Garnacho’s heavy recent involvements with the first-team will surely earn him improved terms. His current Red Devils deal expires in June 2023.
BENNI IN UNITED’S 18 AREA
You don’t need us to tell you that Benni is a legend in the South African football fraternity. Man United were well aware of his valuable attacking insights and how they could rub off on young players, so they welcomed him onto their first-team coaching staff in July this year. His task is to sharpen the Red Devils up in the final third, and his work with Marcus Rashford of late has been particularly impressive.
