Mamppintsha’s Family Updates On Mother’s Health

Mampintsha’s family has provided an update on their mother Zamanguni Gumede’s declining health.

Gumede was admitted to a public hospital after her health deteriorated following the death of her son.

The Big Nuz musician’s sister Pinky Gumede pleaded for donations saying their mother had been diagnosed with a stroke.

Speaking to ZiMoja, Mampintsha’s sister Pinky Gumede gave an update on their mother’s health. She said Zamanguni Gumede has been diagnosed with TB and they are waiting for tests to confirm which type.

Pinky added that their mother is still admitted but has been moved to a different ward pending the final results.

“We are still waiting for final tests to inform us what type of TB it is. She will be moved to a different ward, and we will know exactly what the issue is,” Pinky told ZiMoja.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for Mampintsha’s mother who is now able to speak after losing her voice.

“Last week she could not walk or speak, today she looks much better. She is definitely getting better. She is eating and taking medication. We just need results so she can be able to take the correct treatment for the specific TB. We will know after receiving the new batch of blood tests,” Pinky told the publication.

In related news, the family of Mampintsha’s widow Babes Wodumo has assured fans after the Wololo musician broke down while singing her dead husband’s hit Ngeke.

Babes Wodumo’s sister Nondumiso told a South African publication that Mampintsha’s widow will go for therapy when she is ready.

“Babes is okay. Everyday is different, some days she cries and some days she is okay. But we are giving her space. She will go when she is ready,” Nondumiso said.
