Comedian Kevin Hart Adopts South African Name Much To Mzansi’s Delight

Kevin Hart, a comedian from the United States, has been having a blast in South Africa as part of his Reality Check stand-up tour. He also attended the Johannesburg premiere of his film Die Hart last week, where he met Siv Ngesi, Lasizwe Dambuza, comedians Celeste Ntuli and Trevor Gumbi, and other local celebrities.

Hart had such a good time in South Africa embracing his African roots that he adopted a South African name. His many local fans adore him and have even suggested that his wife adopt one as well.

KEVIN HART GETS A LOCAL NAME AND SA LOVES IT

World-renowned comedian and actor Kevin Hart spent the last few days basking in South African goodness. The Think Like A Man actor had his show in Cape Town on Wednesday last week and was left positively beaming.

Taking to Instagram after the show, he wrote, “Show 1 in CapeTown was INSSAAAAAANNNNEEE!!!!! So much energy & so much love!!!!![sic]”.

His next stop was Pretoria for the second leg of his SA tour, where he performed at the SunBet Arena, Times Square, on Friday and Saturday night.

The funny guy and his wife Eniko Hart also visited Monte Casino in Fourways where he had a premier of his movie Die Hart which will be in local cinemas from the 22 February.

While he is headed back for his home country soon, Hart did not leave empty-handed. He takes home with him a Springboks jersey gifted to him by Siya Kolisi and a new name — Mpho.

The star has shared a number of posts calling himself Mpho and appears to be loving it.

Those who see Kevin embracing his South African name have not stopped gushing over it. Many of them have shared hearty comments with the comedian who assured them he is coming back to SA soon.
