Gogo Raped All Night, Given Six Pack Of Beer By Cops To Withdraw Case

A GOGO is living in fear after the man who allegedly rαped her throughout the night was set free a day after his arrest.

The 62-year-old gogo from Palm Ridge, Ekurhuleni, was allegedly rαped from 7 January until the morning of 8 January.

She opened a case the same morning and the man was arrested.

According to Daily Sun, the gogo said the man attacked her as she was coming back from the tuck shop in the evening.

“He pointed a gun at me and said we must go to my house. I tried to scream and he hit me multiple times on the face. He raped me until the morning,” she said.

Gogo said the man only left her after she asked to go pee.

“I told him I wanted to pee and he said go and when you come back, I will do it for the last time and leave.

“After he was done raping me, I went straight to the police and I was taken to the hospital.

“The doctor confirmed that I was raped and the man was arrested,” she said.

The day after the arrest, gogo was shocked that the man was roaming the streets.

“I went back to the police station and asked what happened.

“The officer handling my case took me to the shops and bought me six pack of beers and KFC. He then said the man will pay me R1 000 to drop the charges,” said gogo.

The gogo said she fears walking in the streets since the incident.

“I’m scared this man will come back and rape me again. This time, he might even kill me so that I don’t report him to the police,” she said.

She said she’s confused as to why the police are failing to help her as she had all the evidence.
