South African Amapiano musician Lady Du revealed that she left Zimbabwe richer after performing in the country.

The Umsebenzi Wethu songstress made the revelation on Twitter after being asked by a user on the social media platform how her recent Zimbabwean concert had gone.

Lady Du was wowed by the warm reception she received when she arrived in the country and also when she performed over the weekend.

The South African songstress performed at the Bush Party at Alex Sports Club in Harare on Saturday. She was supported by Zimbabwean musicians including Voltz JT and also performed Chururuka alongside King98.

After her performance at Alex Sports Club, Lady Du revealed how lucrative her performance in Zimbabwe turned out to be. She said after putting on an electrifying performance she managed to land four more gigs.

Taking to her official Twitter account, Lady Du said:

😭😭😭😭 zim yho no ways 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I filled a sports ground and club 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I got 4 more shows from this booking

Upon being pressed about how much she made from the show in Zimbabwe, Lady Du revealed that she made R25 000 from tips only. She revealed:

My tip alone was 25k 😭😭😭

Meanwhile, Lady Du revealed how her collaboration with King98 on the song Chururuka came about. She said when she reached out she thought it would be a random WhatsApp message which would not end up in a music collaboration.

She said King98 flew her into the country and rented a car for her to use during their recording sessions. Lady Du added that Zimbabwe is blessed to have an artist such as King98.

“King 98 flew to me and told me he wanted a feature. I thought it was good to be the usual random WhatsApp messages and we were done. King 98 rented a car for me just to make me feel comfortable. Zimbabweans you are so blessed to have such artists around you,” she said.
