According to Zimoja, Mamkhize and her son tried to force their way to the VIP lounge after the security guard only identified as Nkosinathi Mbanjwa denied them access.

He denied them because they did not have entry tickets or accreditation to get into the VIP area.

Mbanjwa claims Andile and his mom along with other members of Royal AM, pushed him, attacked him, and hurled insults at him after he requested their VIP access tickets.

He said that MaMkhize and his son assaulted him for doing his job. Mbanjwa revealed that they kept on asking him if he knew who they were as they attacked him. He claims they threatened to get him arrested.

“I got attacked for doing my job. Andile and his mother kept asking me if I knew who they were and threatened to get me arrested. They assaulted me and people were scared to intervene because MaMkhize is known by high-profile people,” he said.

Mbanjwa who has since opened a case against MaMkhize and her son claims that he sustained injuries during the attack and had to seek medication. Due to the severity of the injuries he sustained, he revealed that his face was swollen, and could not eat for a week.

Aside from reporting them to the police, Mbanjwa also intends to sue MaMkhize and Andile Mpisane for assaulting him.
