According to her court papers:

In the event of the granting of the Divorce Decree by the honourable court it will be just and equitable that the Defendant be ordered to pay maintenance for the minor children in the sum of USD2 700 per child monthly until attaining of majority status or they become self-sustaining whichever occurs first.

She said her husband is capable of paying the said amount as he has business interests.

In terms of child custody, Bona Mugabe is seeking full custody of the children on the basis that it is in their best interests. She said Simba Chikore can be granted access to the children every alternate weekend.

In terms of the property they jointly acquired during the course of their nine-year marital union, Bona Mugabe said the issue can be dealt with after the divorce decree has been granted.

Prior to the divorce filing, Bona Mugabe and Simba Chikore had not lived in the same house for nine months. Bona moved out of their marital home in Mount Pleasant to her parent’s posh mansion in Borrowdale.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Simba Chikore was unfaithful to Bona Mugabe which led to the marriage to breakdown beyond repair.
