Former Dudula Leader Nhlanhla Lux’s House Bombed During EFF National Shutdown

THE home of African activist and former leader of the patriotic movement Soweto Parliament, Nhlanhla “Lux” Mohlauli, was bombed on Monday, 20 March at about 4am.

Nhlanhla expressed anger after his house was bombed and blamed the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

“My house just got hit with two bombs, all my neighbour’s windows were shattered. imagine my house. We beat the EFF at their own game on the streets by defending Soweto brilliantly with the law enforcement on our side,” said Nhlanhla.

He was up all night working with law enforcement to stop people from breaking the law when he received a call that a bomb was thrown at his house.

Eight of his family members had to immediately leave the house when the incident happened.

Lux expressed how angry he was and revealed that this wasn’t the first attempt on his life.

He alleged this was the fifth time, and he stressed that he won’t stop fighting for what’s right even if the EFF members keep trying to kill him.

“How can a person attempt to kill my whole family, just because he’s losing?” he said.

He expressed that said he’s disgusted that people have normalised nonsense.

He explained that he wants to defend his country while EFF wants to shut it down.

“The fact that they invested in such quality bombs is shocking,” said Lux.

He also stressed that he won’t stop fighting against politicians who prey on vulnerable gogos and mkhulus, especially in Soweto.

A neighbour whose window was shuttered told Daily Sun how scared he was when he heard the sound of his window breaking.

He said he didn’t go out because he was scared and knew that whatever was happening was at Lux’s house as this wouldn’t be the first time.

“When I finally went out, I saw our other neighbours but the people behind this were nowhere to be found,” he said.

Another neighbour said she lives in fear because she has a feeling that one of these good days, the people who keep trying to kill Lux Nhlanhla will also come for them.

“This is a quiet neighbourhood, but gunshots are becoming a norm because of this brilliant young man. I hope someone will be held accountable,” she said.

EFF could not respond at the time of publishing.

At the moment there is no information on what kind of bombs were used and no injuries were reported.

Minister of Police General Bheki Cele visited Nhlanhla Lux’s home after hearing about  the explosion that took place this morning.

He confirmed that nobody was physically injured and also spoke to the neighbours whose houses were affected and has organised counselling for them as one of the neighbours has been crying since the incident happened.

He also said he saw some tweets about Nhlanhla Lux, calling him a liar and he confirmed that he is indeed telling the truth, the bomb destroyed neighbours windows.
