Girl (16) Kills Her Mum Because She Wanted Freedom

A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has been arrested for allegedly killing her mum (44) in Lesedi Park in Westernburg outside Polokwane, Limpopo on Wednesday, 15 March.

The girl allegedly asked the suspect, who is on the run, to kill her mum because she wanted her freedom.

The suspect allegedly met the girl at her home.

The two allegedly went to the house to wait for the girl’s mum. When the mum arrived home, the suspect allegedly attacked her with a frying pan.

The suspect then allegedly strangled the mum and dragged her into the bedroom, where he left her.

The girl allegedly slept in her mum’s car on that night and contacted the police on Thursday, 16 March, claiming that she found her mother in a pool of blood.

A murder case was opened and during the investigation it turned out that the young girl had planned with the suspect to kill her mum.

The girl was arrested and charged with murder and a manhunt was launched for her accomplice.

Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe, expressed shock at the incident and called on residents with information to help cops find the suspect.

The girl appeared in the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Friday, 17 March and was remanded in custody for further investigation.

Cops also asked Lebalang to report to the police station to help with the investigation.
