Mississippi woman shoots husband dead on Facebook Live

A Mississippi woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly shooting and killing a man during a Facebook Livestream.

Kadejah Michelle Brown, 28, was charged with murder and booked into the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence report at a residence around 7:42 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located the body of Jeremy Brown. The 28-year-old victim died from a single gunshot wound.

The Dispatch reports that Brown and the victim were husband and wife.

According to law enforcement officials, Brown began arguing with the victim, and things became physical. Brown then allegedly shot the man.

“There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim,” Lowndes County Sheriff Eddie Hawkins explained. “This was a tragic and senseless murder, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim. Fortunately, Brown is in custody, and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable.”

A handgun and other evidence were recovered from the home. Additionally, the audio of the shooting was captured on video during a Facebook Live. The phone was thrown down during the stream, and a gunshot could be heard, according to Hawkins.
