CHIEFS TO HAND BILLIAT LIFELINE?

Surprisingly, Billiat still has the backing from some technical staff who believe in his value at this club. One of the key reasons for this surprise turn of events is that Billiat has returned to training at Naturena. Furthermore, he brings some much-needed experience to the table.

“The technical team still believes in him. It has just been unfortunate that he has been out injured but now that he is fit, they want to see how his experience can help the team next season and that’s what can also influence the one-year contract extension,” the relevant source confirmed on the same publication.

This will be very important to Amakhosi if they qualify for the CAF Champions League or CAF Confederation Cup next season.

NOT A DONE DEAL YET

Billiats stay at Naturena has not yet been confirmed.

However, it is looking a lot more likely than it has for several months now.

“As you may know, it is not a done deal, as they wanted to see what will happen when he is fully healed and then take it from there. Now that he is fit and training again, let’s wait and see. But their is light at the end of the tunnel for him,” the source concluded.
