A maid reportedly stole an 8-month-old baby in Mandava Zvishavane on Monday after getting employed a day before.
Evidence Hove, who is believed to be aged between 15 and 17 took the baby when she pretended to pacify him when he was crying.
The mother had reportedly gone to buy medicine in town when she took the baby and disappeared.
She was employed on Easter Sunday and allegedly stole the baby on Monday.
The family is appealing for help to locate the baby and can be contacted at 0773 094 617 or 0773 737 513.
According to the mother of the child, Evidence does not have identity documents and she claims she was orphaned.

According to some social media users, the maid and the baby may have both been victims of kidnapping.
