Why Baba Harare Decided To Pull Out of STAR FM Listeners’ Choice Awards!

Zimbabwean musician Baba Harare has made a surprising decision to withdraw from the STAR FM Listeners’ Choice Awards.

Baba Harare had been nominated for the Album of the Year award, along with Feli Nandi, Freeman HKD, Minister Michael Mahendere, and Voltz JT.

In a statement posted on his social media platforms, Baba Harare expressed gratitude for the nomination but stated that he did not feel worthy of the recognition due to personal reasons.

He further highlighted that there were other deserving artists who were not included in any category, and thus requested for his nomination to be withdrawn.

“Thank you very much Star FM and the listeners for the nomination. I feel honoured. However due to my own personal reasons, I don’t feel worthy of the nomination. There are other great acts/ artists who should have graced the center stage but sadly aren’t in any category. So I wish my nomination to be withdrawn. Thank you once again for the opportunity,”he wrote.

This unexpected move has left fans and industry insiders buzzing with speculation about Baba Harare’s reasons behind his withdrawal from the prestigious awards event.
