A local publication reports that Makhadzi, whose full name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, is accused of failing to efficiently market and promote the sneakers, which led to low sales.
Kicks Kokovha, which manufactured the sneakers, filed a lawsuit against Makhadzi, claiming damages. She was reportedly expected to perform wearing the sneakers and promote it on social media platforms, but was mostly seen sporting international brands.
The pubication has quoted Kicks Sportswear’s founder Sammy Mhaule as saying they had spent a lot of time working on the sneakers but that the singer failed to follow the terms and conditions of the agreement.
“Yes, Kokovha, which was meant to be hers to work on, is going at half price because I need to get my money back, it’s like they left me to do damage control by myself,” Mhaule said.
