Bukiwe Keva not leaving Gomora
It was announced this year that the popular telenovela Gomora would be ending. The show, which broke viewing records barely a month after it debuted on the channel almost three years ago, has aired its final season to wrap up its storylines, with season 4 premiering on April 24 at 19:30 and its final episode airing on October 20, 2023.
This means many actors have already been written off the script and others leaving the show. Actress Bukiwe Keva has since been travelling between Johannesburg and the Eastern Cape for personal matters.
GOING HOME
Speaking to ZiMoja, a close family friend says she has had to temporarily relocate to the Eastern Cape to take care of her ailing grandmother. “She needed to go home and put family first.
She will be back,” the friend says. “She is very responsible and really close to her granny. It made sense for her to leave, especially now that the show is coming to an end.”
Actors who have also made an exit on the show include Ceecee Ndaba (MaZet), Ntobeko Sishi (Ntokozo), Connie Chiume (MamSonto), Ntobeko Sishi (Ntokozo Dlamini), and Katlego Danke (Thati),
STILL WORKING
Bukiwe who plays the role of Gomora High School learner and rebellious Asanda was reported to have been fired from the show for not pitching for a shoot. Seriti Productions says the role of Asanda was that of a call actor.
Since the reports, Asanda had gone back to the show and continued to shoot until she was forced to leave and attend to family responsibilities.
A staff member at Seriti confirms that she was never fired but had to leave.
“But the show is coming to an end, and it happened at the right time.
There was really no bad blood, even after she disappeared from work for a couple of days without being reached.”
The actress is also said to be linked to Zambian mogul, Paul Steele who she has travelled with for three weeks and bought the actress a Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA.
Before this, Bukiwe was said to be dating actor Senzo Radebe, which she clarified that the rumours were false. Bukiwe did not wish to comment on her “personal life.”
