Call To Ban Prime Hydration As Pupils Start Acting Strange And WIld

South African schools are calling for PRIME Hydration to be banned as it is making pupils act weird in class.

eNCA reports that the National Association of School Governing Bodies is calling for the drink to be cancelled from schools, as teachers are complaining over a change in behaviour after pupils consume it.

Checkers supermarket entered into a deal with the owners of the beverage, popular social media influencers KSI and Logan Paul, which saw its price drop from R700 per bottle to R40. The demand for the drink shot up, and pupils also scrambled for it.

The National Association of School Governing Bodies chairperson, Matakanye Matakanye, said:

“We are responding to complaints we got from schools, teachers, SGBs, and parents that there is this new drink. Once pupils drink it, their behaviour changes. When you see disorder and people climbing on top of tables, climbing on top of chairs, that type of behaviour surprises you.

“Once the teacher starts teaching, you expect everybody to be attentive and the class to be orderly. It needs psychologists to tell us exactly the type of behaviour, just like to say they’re becoming hyperactive or so. We’re raising this because we got all these complaints.”

Matakanye added that once schools note the behaviour change, governing authorities can enforce policies that ban such drinks.
