SkeemSaam: Another Untimely Death In Turf

Hey there fellow Skeem Saam fans! Have you heard the news? Our beloved Alfios, the loan shark turned delivery guy turned assistant to Charles Kunutu, has been killed off! I mean, come on, can we catch a break here? First, we lose Dragon, and now Alfios? Who’s next, Charles himself?

According to the TVSA Skeem Saam May teasers, Alfios would be meeting his untimely demise after five long years on the show. And boy, was it a shocker. Babeile, played by Mathews Manamela, thinks that Turfloop may have a serial killer on the loose, and he’s going to start an investigation after Alfios’ death. Can we get some Law & Order up in here?

But let’s not forget the warning that Alfios received from his worried acquaintances. Did he listen? Nope. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Alfios was willing to do whatever it takes to survive. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out well for him. Can’t say we didn’t see it coming.

The teasers also reveal that Alfios will be killed on May 16th, leaving us all in shock and disbelief. And to make matters worse, Babeile is stunned by the postmortem results. Who could’ve done this to our beloved Alfios? We demand justice!

And if that’s not enough to break your heart, actor Tebogo Modisane, who portrays Alfios, has departed the show. I mean, after five years on Skeem Saam, it’s a bit sad to see him go. But we know Babeile won’t stop at anything until he finds the killer of Turf’s much-loved delivery man.

SkeemSaam: Another Untimely Death In Turf

But let’s not forget the elephant in the room. This is the second actor to say goodbye to Skeem Saam this season, after Dragon, portrayed by Julius Kgole. Eric Macheru’s Leeto Maputla, who portrayed Dragon, shot and murdered him in April. And now, we lose Alfios. Are the writers trying to give us heart attacks?

We don’t know what’s in store for Tebogo Modisane after his time on Skeem Saam, but we wish him all the best. Maybe he’ll land a role in a movie or a different show. Who knows? All we know is that we’ll miss seeing Alfios on our screens.

In conclusion, we’re all heartbroken to see Alfios go. But we know that Babeile will do everything in his power to find out who killed him. We’ll be tuning in to Skeem Saam to see how the story unfolds. Rest in peace, Alfios. You will be missed.

All you need to know about Alfios from #SkeemSaam

Alfios, played by Tebogo Modisane, was one of the most beloved characters on the popular South African soap opera Skeem Saam. He first appeared on the show as a delivery guy for Katlego Peterson’s store, but soon became a regular character, serving as Charles Kunutu’s store assistant and eventually turning into a loan shark.

Alfios was known for his sharp wit, his street smarts, and his loyalty to those he cared about. Despite his questionable profession, he had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Growing up in Turfloop, Alfios had to fend for himself from a young age. He dropped out of school to support his family and quickly learned how to hustle to make ends meet. He started out selling goods on the street and eventually worked his way up to becoming a delivery guy for Katlego Peterson’s store.

It was there that Alfios met Charles Kunutu, who saw potential in the young man and offered him a job as his store assistant. Charles quickly became a mentor to Alfios, teaching him the ins and outs of running a business and helping him become a successful loan shark.

Alfios was a complex character with many layers. On the one hand, he was a ruthless loan shark who would stop at nothing to get his money. On the other hand, he had a soft spot for those in need and would often waive his fees for those who were struggling.

One of Alfios’ most memorable storylines on the show was when he helped Leeto Maputla (played by Eric Macheru) get out of debt. Leeto had borrowed money from Alfios and was unable to pay it back, putting his career as a lawyer in jeopardy. Alfios took pity on him and forgave his debt, which allowed Leeto to continue practicing law.

Alfios was also known for his close relationship with Charles Kunutu (played by Clement Maosa). The two men had a father-son dynamic, with Charles often giving Alfios advice and guidance. When Charles was diagnosed with cancer, Alfios was there to support him, even putting his own business on hold to take care of him.

Tragically, Alfios was killed off on the show after more than five years. His death left fans heartbroken and shocked, as he was one of the most beloved characters on Skeem Saam. The storyline surrounding his death was intense, with Babeile (played by Mathews Manamela) launching an investigation to find his killer.

Despite his untimely demise, Alfios’ legacy lives on. He was a complex and multifaceted character who brought depth and nuance to the show. His wit, charm, and loyalty made him a fan favorite, and his death was a testament to the impact he had on the show and its viewers.

Zoe said they were moved enough to record their own version of “It’s OK,” which – to their surprise — prompted a response from Nightbirde, who “responded so beautifully.” The anthem then became a “pillar of strength” as the choir continued through their own difficult times. “We just want to continue her legacy, and that’s why we chose this song,” said Zoe. But most visibly moved by the performance was Cowell, who said to those around him, “This brought back so many memories for me.” Audiences and Crews clapped as Cowell wrestled with his emotions. Vergara rubbed his shoulder to support Cowell as he began to cry, getting choked up while speaking.
