This is how Orlando Pirates embraced Duduzane Zuma

Presidential hopeful, Duduzane Zuma was treated like royalty on Saturday by Orlando Pirates fans after he went to watch the Nedbank cup championship finals.

The match ended 2-1 with Orlando Pirates winning the cup. Duduzane Zuma was not sitting in the VIP section, but had opted to seat in the crowd. After the match had ended, Orlando Pirates fans were seen taking turns to capture memorable selfies with Zuma.

“Leader Duduzane Zuma embraced by Orlando Pirates fans after their victory against Sekhukhune United in the Nedbank Cup final,” said Duduzane Zuma’s campaigner.

Sekhukhune United had gifted Duduzane Zuma their club merchandise ahead of their match in the Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates. It is not clear which team Duduzane was supporting when he went to watch the game.

Orlando Pirates fans were beaming with joy, not only because they had met Duduzane Zuma, but their team managed to come back from a goal down to win the championship.

There are, however, those who feel that the penalty which was awarded to Thembinkosi Lorch was not supposed to have been a penalty. They said this is the first time they have witnessed such a thing happening. Orlando Pirates fans argued that the penalty was well deserved.

“Lorch is a cup final player. He will be driving around the streets of Midrand all season then come to win you a cup final. Cannot hate him.”

“It was a penalty before Lorch kicked the ball to him, but big up to him for using this opportunity to the benefit of the team,” said an Orlando Pirates fan.

“Take a closer look. Why was Victor kicking the ball and touching it if this is not a penalty? Lorch kicked the ball against him soon after he had touched it. So it is a penalty,” another Orlando Pirates fan defended the referee’s decision to award a penalty which set tongues wagging.
