Defiant President Mnangagwa Condemns Economic Sabotage Attempts

President Mnangagwa strongly denounced the malicious efforts of foreign adversaries aimed at reversing the achievements of the Second Republic. In his address to the Politburo, the President exposed the insidious tactics of currency manipulation and price distortions orchestrated by the country’s detractors. Despite recent price increases, President Mnangagwa assured the nation that these evil machinations would be in vain, as the perpetrators would be held accountable.

With the upcoming harmonized elections on August 23, the President called upon the media to join forces in countering misinformation and highlighting the successes of the Second Republic. He emphasized that Zanu PF stood with the people and would protect their collective aspirations.

Amid the attacks, President Mnangagwa reiterated the government’s commitment to sustainable socio-economic development programs, aimed at uplifting the impoverished and promoting prosperity.0

The Politburo session also discussed the party’s election roadmap, with the President urging party structures and communities to remain resolute, vigilant, and peaceful. Following successful primary elections and candidate orientations, President Mnangagwa commended the party’s affiliate organizations for their mobilization strategies and called for further grassroots mobilization.

With the launch of the 2023 Zanu PF Election Campaign Manifesto approaching, the President encouraged the Politburo to provide strategic guidance and leadership. He stressed the importance of multiple voices conveying a coordinated message to effectively communicate the party’s achievements to all levels of society.

President Mnangagwa acknowledged the relentless efforts of independent media to discredit the government’s work. He urged citizens to guard against falsehoods and disinformation, emphasizing the need for unity and resilience in the face of divisive tactics.

The President concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to delivering on its promises and advancing the nation’s development, modernization, and industrialization agenda. He called for voter education focusing on the characteristics of the ballot paper and honoring the memory of the late national hero, Cde Abraham Kabasa.

Despite the challenges posed by external forces, President Mnangagwa’s resolve remained unyielding, as he vowed to protect the country’s progress and ensure a victorious future for Zimbabwe.
