A group of Zimbabwean individuals has been apprehended by authorities in the United Kingdom (UK) after their own celebratory video on social media exposed their involvement in a daring £200,000 money heist. The ill-advised decision to showcase their newfound wealth in a boastful video turned out to be a costly mistake.

The video, which captured the culprits reveling in their ill-gotten gains, featured stacks of £20-pound notes scattered across their apartment. Their celebratory mood was evident, but what they didn’t anticipate was that the incriminating footage would gain attention online.

A Twitter user known as King Jay stumbled upon the video and promptly shared it on the platform. In his caption, he revealed the details of the criminal act, stating that the group had successfully stolen a staggering £200,000. Adding a touch of sarcasm, he mentioned how their swift capture by the authorities ensued.

The unintended exposure on social media served as crucial evidence leading to the arrest of the Zimbabwean gang. Their ill-conceived attempt to flaunt their stolen wealth ultimately became the catalyst for their downfall.

The response from fellow Zimbabweans was far from sympathetic, with many expressing their disdain for the criminals and commending the UK authorities for their swift action.
