Fans are in amazement as South African sensation Makhadzi heaps praise on Zimbabwean musician Alick Macheso for their most recent duet. The brilliant duo collaborated on a song that will appear on Makhadzi’s upcoming album, and the Limpopo star was ecstatic about the result.

Makhadzi expressed her gratitude for Macheso’s efforts in a touching Facebook post, writing;

Two months ago, when visiting the UK for the JamAfro Festival, Makhadzi and Alick Macheso had a chance encounter that led to their collaboration.

As luck would have it, Makhadzi met her musical hero as they both entered the same building. She quickly fell to her knees in adoration when Macheso entered the room, showing her utmost love for the Zimbabwean music legend.

Alick Macheso, who is renowned for his humility, offered his hand to the star-struck South African musician and smiled warmly in return for Makhadzi’s gesture. The encounter solidified the artists’ shared appreciation and laid the groundwork for their future collaboration in a tender and humble way.

Alick Macheso was someone Makhadzi had long wanted to collaborate with, and this fortunate meeting provided the ideal occasion to make that desire come true.

She immediately conveyed her wish to work with the iconic singer, exclaiming that she had already contacted renowned producer Mr. Brown to begin production on a song that would include both herself and Alick Macheso. Her excitement was palpable as she spoke.

Beyond words to describe Makhadzi’s admiration for Alick Macheso. She incorporates the iconic “Borrowdale” dance from the late Zimbabwean musician into every one of her stage appearances as a tribute.

She won over Zimbabwean music fans with this touching tribute, which also helped to create a unique bond between the two musicians.
