Celebrities, politicians, business executives, clergy, and other significant persons from Zimbabwe and throughout the world have paid their respects in the last two weeks.

In a message addressing Greater Harare, Norton, and Chitungwiza leaders and saints, ZAOGA FIF Secretary General Apostle Mishael Nyambo stated:

“We announce the homecoming of our Father, who is accompanied by our mother, Archbishop Prof Eunor Guti and the family this Saturday around noon.

“We, therefore, encourage Greater Harare, Norton, and Chitungwiza members to come in numbers and honour our Father at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, Harare, on this historic day,” Apostle Nyambo said.

He added that before the procession makes its way to a funeral home, mourners will line up along Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Road between the airport and Braeside roundabouts.

Everyone was welcome to attend the lavish celebrations that the church has prepared. People from outside of Harare have been encouraged to attend the lavish celebrations, which have been scheduled for August 3–6.

The late Ezekiel Guti was referred to as a contemporary Christian giant who devoted his life to preaching God’s word.

President Mnangagwa said he was “deeply shattered and saddened” by Prof. Guti’s passing in his condolence statement.

He said Guti’s works and footprints indelibly abounded across the length and breadth of the country, well beyond the vast, national movement of congregants and places of worship that he led.

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga described the late clergyman as a towering figure in Zimbabwe’s Christian movement, nation building and preservation of the social fabric.

Over and above his religious calling, Guti also played a role in several other nation-building initiatives including in the education and health sectors where he founded the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University and the Mbuya Dorcas Hospital in Harare.
