Swallows Sign Former Kaizer Chiefs Star Zuma

Moroka Swallows confirmed the acquisition of former Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu midfielder Dumisani Zuma on Thursday.

Zuma joins Steve Komphela’s Moroka Swallows following a single season in Durban, where he made 23 appearances.

The Dube Birds are on a quest to enhance their squad, with Komphela joining from Mamelodi Sundowns as head coach and veteran midfielder Andile Jali joining as a free agent.

Ali Meza, a former Maritzburg United forward, has also joined to bolster their frontline.

Other new signings include Keenan Phillips from SuperSport United and Lentshene Phalane from Royal AM. Falakhe Tshanini and Victor Bakah from Uthongathi have also been included.

After securing a top-eight finish last season, club chairman David Mogashoa revealed that the mandate set for Komphela is now a top-four finish as well as challenging for silverware.

Swallows will being their DStv Premiership campaign with a clash against Lamontville Golden Arrows on Saturday, 5 August at Mpumalanga Stadium.
