Boy (15) Found Dead Outside Nightclub

A 17-year-old Form 3 student named Sindiso Hlazo was allegedly killed outside a pub in the Torwood neighbourhood of Redcliff town in a terrible incident that has left the community in sorrow.

The horrific incident took place in the wee hours of Saturday, leaving friends and family grieving and seeking an explanation.

The sequence of events leading up to the murder is still unknown, according to Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.

According to reports, Hlazo travelled to Plot 20 Swartlage farm in Redcliff on Friday at around 11 a.m., having been dispatched there by his brother for as-yet-unknown reasons.

The following day, at around 1 AM, Hlazo was spotted at Chilax Nightclub in Torwood Shopping Centre, Redcliff.

He was spotted drinking beer with a group of unknown individuals.

Unfortunately, a barman found the lifeless body of a male young man outside the nightclub at around 2:30 AM. Later, it was discovered to be the boy she had seen earlier that evening.

Police discovered Hlazo’s right ear was bleeding when they inspected the crime scene.

Since no arrests have been made as of yet, the police are pleading with anyone with information about the incident to come forward and help catch the criminals.

In his public plea, Inspector Mahoko said:

“We are appealing to members of the public who might have information concerning this case to approach their nearest police station so that the culprits involved may be brought to book.”
