Zimbabwe’s Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Publicity, Nick Mangwana, revealed that this assembly of journalists and TV personalities has been brought to the country through collaborative efforts between his ministry and the Media Company MPC.

The True Zimbabwe Tour starts in Victoria Falls, a regional tourist Mecca, and ends in the capital, Harare on 12 August – just over 10 days before the elections.

Taking to Twitter, Mangwana said the group is in Zimbabwe to experience Zimbabwean hospitality and to witness firsthand the work done by President Emmerson Mnanaggwa’s administration since winning the elections in 2018.

The group visited successful farming projects, the African Chrome Fields mining operations, the new wing of the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and others.
