Umkhokha Is The Most Watched Telenova On DStv

Umkhokha: The Curse is currently the most-watched telenovela on DStv, according to the most recent data from the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA)’s Television Audience Measurement (TAM).

BRCSA July 2023 figures also reveal that Mzansi Magic’s drama series Shaka Ilembe is the most-watched TV show on DStv with 828 000 viewers while Umkhokha: The Curse is the most-watched telenovela on DStv with 741 994 viewers.

The July figures also reveal that Gomora is now the second-most-watched telenovela with 721 546, followed by Gqeberha: The Empire with 700 317.

The award-nominated series which aired its first episode in October 2021 as Umkhokha returned in March 2023 as a telenovela titled Umkhokha – The Curse.
