Ambitiouz Entertainment Shuts Down Due To Financial Troubles

Ambitiouz Entertainment is said to have been going through a rough patch financially and has closed shop. Trouble began when many of its big artists left the media empire.

According to reports, Ambitiouz entertainment offices were moved from Waterfall in Midrand to Rosebank and they have since been unoccupied for the past four months.

A source who spoke to ZiMoja says staff got angry about not being paid on time or not getting paid at all in some months and decided to down their tools.

According to the source, the record label owner Kgosi Mahumapelo retrenched some staff members and most of the company cars have been repossessed.

“Things are bad, many artists have left Kgosi. He is going through the most.” A former employee, who spoke on condition of anonymity says,

“Some employees went to CCMA due to frustration of chasing Kgosi for their salaries which haven’t been paid since March this year,” the source said.

According to a source, Kgosi does not attend the CCMA hearings but always sends a lady called Omphile to represent him. The source says he is afraid to face his employees.

“Sometimes he picks up calls but most days he doesn’t, that is why people decided to go to CCMA.” It does not end there.

According to another source, Kgosi allegedly sold a car to one of his former employees fraudulently, which was later repossessed because he did not own the car outright to sell it

. The matter is apparently with the lawyers and he had promised to pay by yesterday.

“The guy is pissed off he used his last savings to buy that car cash, and he was hoping to start his own transportation service, only to find that the car belonged to the bank and not Kgosi,” adds the source.

MOST OF HIS ARTISTS HAVE LEFT THE STABLE 

Kgosi’s troubles started after being dropped by many of the stable’s award-winning artists including Sjava, Emtee, Amanda Black and A-Reece.

According to reports, the artists claimed that the controversial record company never paid them enough for their work while some said they were paid on a monthly basis, while they were gigging every weekend.

The record label recently trended for the wrong reason. This is after Ntaba Yase Dubai born Lindokuhle Msomi claimed that he did not get enough money for Imali Eningi.

The star claimed that he only got paid R3 700 per month by the label while he was gigging every weekend. Taking to Facebook, Intaba expressed that he would drop new music under his own label, 3.7

Entertainment. Intaba also shared how he almost gave up on his music career because he wasn’t getting paid what he deserved. Mahumapelo ignored our calls and texts when called for a comment.
