In “My Brother’s Keeper,” Wiseman Mncube plays Nqubeko, a strong and ambitious mistress’s son who is frustrated of being forgotten by his father. His character defies convention, breaking the conventions of “ukungena” by pursuing his brother’s widow, Fakazile, played by Zola Nombona. Fakazile enjoys considerable power inside the Shabalala family dynasty.

Nqubeko’s obsessive pursuit of power and yearning for his father’s praise lead to disputes with his four half-brothers, endangering the Shabalala family’s unity and future. The show promises high drama as it investigates who will succeed and who will perish in the war for power.

Produced by Rhythm World, the same production company behind the popular show “Umkhokha: The Curse,” “My Brother’s Keeper” promises to deliver compelling drama and captivating storytelling to viewers. As for Gomora, the beloved series, which clinched the Golden Horn Award for Most Popular TV Soap/Telenovela in 2012, will bid farewell with its final episode in October.

Joining Wiseman Mncube and Zola Nombona in this exciting venture are other renowned actors, including S’dumo Mtshali, Lindani Nkosi, Nelisa Mchunu, and Rosemary Zimu, making it a star-studded cast.
